Jens Plougmann

"My creative process involves a fusion of  free-form woodworking, pushing technical boundaries while maintaining a strong connection to finding the beauty within the wood. Through this approach, I strive to explore the limits of the conventional definition of art, creating meaningful dialogue between the artwork and its audience. The challenge of what is technically feasible and what the wood lends itself to continues to inspire my artistic decisions." - Jens Plougmann

Jens is a free-form woodworker driven by a desire to explore the artistic potential of wood. With 20 years of experience working with wood, Jens has begun to create compelling pieces that reflect both technical mastery and a unique artistic vision. Originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, and now residing in New Mexico, he is dedicated to pushing the limits of his craft through themed free-form expressions, transforming raw wood into captivating works of art.
